Real-World-Work Experience Program

Real-world training to put into practice what you have learned

This presents a wonderful opportunity to learn all aspects of event planning. While the online training course offers opportunities to gain theoretical knowledge and technical skills, the on-the-job training provides valuable practical experience. Upon completing your training, EPMA provides clients for you to work with, helping you utilise your passions and talents.

You will engage in researching venues, vendors, design ideas, and planning and producing events with an assigned event planner. We will select events that are diverse to ensure you receive optimal exposure to various styles, budgets, venues, etc. You must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week, with some evenings and weekends required based on the event schedule. Typically, you will work onsite, although some situations may allow you to work from home. Your assigned advisor will be available at all reasonable times to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Real-World Work Experience Benefits:
  • Experience in marketing a small business, including the significance of social media, networking, etc.
  • Experience in the event planning process, including logistics, promotion, budgeting, timelines, and vendor management.
  • Written referral/recommendation upon successful completion of the program.
  • A competitive edge - It will help distinguish you from the competition as the majority of certification programs do not offer hands-on training.

Job Placement Program

Graduates will be allowed to participate in the Job Placement Program if they have completed both online study and the Real-World Work Program. Graduates are guaranteed that they will get a job within the first two months after graduation.
